20 Events Displaying Reindeer Added to Interactive Map!
On 11th November we kicked off our 2025 Festive Events Campaign, and since then we have been working hard to identify and reach out to organisers of events that display live reindeer. If you have already joined the effort by reporting events or contacting organisers then thank you, your support makes a real difference to the lives of reindeer all over the UK!
This week, we have added 20 new events to our Interactive Map! These events are displaying reindeer as part of their festive celebrations, and we need your help to let them know the detrimental effect this has on these gentle, sensitive beings.

We have also been working with North East Animal Rights to oppose the Reindeer Parade organised by Middlesbrough Council. We had over 1,000 people take action against this cruelty by contacting the council and asking that they go animal-free – thank you to everyone who sent our letter. Sadly, the parade still took place, and the photo evidence of the reindeers’ distress is heartbreaking:
As you can see, the reindeer were clearly distressed and seemed to be handled without care or compassion.
We will now, with your support, keep communicating with the council asking that they leave reindeer out of future festive celebrations, and instead opt for compassionate, animal-free options.
