The Association of Animal Artists (AAA), a vibrant group of over 450 independent artists, has announced the launch of their 2025 annual charity auction. This year’s auction represents the largest fundraising event in the association’s history, with the aim of raising funds for global charity, Wild Welfare. The charity works to improve the lives of wild animals in human care all around the globe. Bidding opens for this collection of original artwork on Friday, August 1st, with lots starting from only £5!
The Association of Animal Artists brings together sculptors, printmakers, and artists of various disciplines with a common love and enthusiasm for animals and wildlife. Since 2009, the AAA has brought together a highly engaged artistic community by collectively raising thousands of pounds for various animal related charities. Their annual charity auction remains the most successful fundraising event, with members submitting smaller sized artwork to be included in the public auction. This year’s selection of art is reportedly bigger and better than ever before.
All proceeds from this eagerly awaited auction will go to Wild Welfare, who AAA selected as their official charity partner for 2025. Funds will help Wild Welfare to support their global projects which aim to enhance the welfare for wild animals in zoos, aquariums, sanctuaries and wildlife rescue centres worldwide.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with The Association of Animal Artists,” stated Simon Marsh, Director at Wild Welfare. “The funds raised from this auction will crucially support our hands-on field work, aimed at directly improving the lives of captive wild animals across the globe. It could help us to deliver essential training for caregiving staff, ensuring animals receive the best care and welfare outcomes, including the provision of appropriate diets and stimulating living environments. Funds also help us to provide freely accessible learning resources, up-skilling caregivers to confidently identify and address welfare concerns. This collaboration truly embodies our shared commitment to a more compassionate future for captive wildlife.”
Megan, Chair of The Association of Animal Artists added, “Our members pour their hearts into these creations, and knowing that every bid contributes to Wild Welfare’s vital mission makes this auction deeply meaningful. It’s a privilege to use our artistic platform to support an organisation that shares our values in promoting the well-being of animals worldwide. We’re confident that this year’s auction, with its exceptional collection, will make a significant impact.”
