Mercy For Animals’ award-winning animated short film, Henrietta Finds a Nest, just made its global debut on October 20. Brought to life by the Emmy-winning animation team at Mighty Oak Studios, produced by Mercy For Animals, and executive produced by Daniella Monet, the film blends artistry and heart to share the remarkable true story of Henrietta’s life.
Get introduced to Henrietta, a chick rescued by Mercy For Animals’ CEO from a factory farm who formed an unlikely friendship with her daughter, Andrea. The six-minute tale invites audiences of all ages to embrace the magic of friendship, the power of compassion, and the individuality of chickens.
Henrietta’s story is more than a heartwarming tale; it’s a call to action. It invites us all to be part of a movement toward a kinder world. The chicken industry raises and kills over 9 billion animals in the United States alone. But unlike most farmed animals, Henrietta made it beyond the factory-farm walls to enjoy an amazing life.

Henrietta Finds a Nest has already traveled the world, screening at more than 25 film festivals, in classrooms, and at community events. But now we can share Henrietta’s story even further and inspire millions more to see chickens—and all animals—as the unique, loving individuals they are.
