Why create an account?

You’ll start with the handler info, which is your own information or the person who is responsible for the service animal if you are registering for someone else.
US Service Dog is based in the US and is intended for those who reside in the US. If you are based elsewhere but spend extended time in the U.S, select the city and state where you will be when you visit most often.


Next you’ll enter the animal’s information. This includes the dog’s name, their breed, and the dog’s date of birth. An approximate date of birth is acceptable. When you enter the breed, be concise. While your dog may be a mix, simply write the dominant mix. If you write everything it will go over the edge of the card. Keep in mind, the card will print exactly as you enter it. If you don’t capitalize the first letter, that’s what the PDF will look like.


Uploading a photo
This is where you’ll need to upload a photo of your dog. It’s important to upload a clear photo with a quiet background for best quality. A JPG format is best, and it must be under 5 mb. You must click upload photo before continuing. If you skip this step, you won’t have a photo for your animal. If that happens, not to worry, simply email us and we’ll get it fixed.
Assigning your dog to your account
This is the final step, you’ll add to cart and have a chance to review the items in your cart. Now you’ll reach the payment and shipping portion. While nothing will be shipped, we do collect shipping information as part of credit card processing. This helps reduce fraud. Here is the important part. At the very end of the payment page, there is a little box that says “Create an account”. This will prompt you to create a password. In creating an account you will be able to log and download your certificate and ID at any time.


What happens if I didn’t create an account but I want to make one now?
You can make an account at any time. Unfortunately you will not be able to add a past registration to your account. If you recently created your registration and you’d like to add a dog, the only way to do it is to create a new registration. Keep in mind you can always find your documents in your email. If it feels important to have your dogs associated with your account, get in touch and we can help you re-create the same registration in your account. We generally respond to emails within 24 hours and will do our best to help you out. Keep this in mind when making purchases online, making an account may feel annoying, or like one more step, but it helps in the long run when you want to keep track of your purchases, especially your service dog digital download.
